I've scarcely seen any depiction of baldness that doesn't treat it as inherently ugly or ridiculous; in fact partial baldness, especially coupled with long hair, is often used as a shorthand for a character being sleazy or creepy. Honestly, it's getting to me.

I am in my late 20s and have male pattern baldness. I feel the need to keep my head clean-shaven and feel quite distressed if I can't due to lack of time or some other circumstance. I can't help but feel ugly as sin (and even creepy to women) when the spotty covering of my head shows.

Male pattern baldness is common, normal, and something that happens to trans males too (if you need more motivation). When you speak against body negativity, I beg you to take a moment to remind people not to equate lack of hair with lack of moral fiber or beauty.

Had my hairline lined up around my dome.

Just asked a new barber to clean up my hairline around the top. It was the first time I asked for this as I was hesitant to be made balder and wondered if the barber would think its silly. However Ive seen bald guys with nice defined hairlines around their tops and think it looks sharp.. With the 1/4" of whispy thin hair removed it gave me a more definite hairline. He took more off the one side that was higher also so now it's more symmetric and the top appears to rise up more in a dome with the sides starting a little lower. I think it makes the hair I do have look thicker which I like. My bald top is now slightly wider and the dipped area is wider but I think it looks cleaner and more of a neat round feature without any fuzz and a sharper hairline ringing around it. I also think having the whispy hair removed will makes it look more solid when I put something on it to make it shiny.
